What is the Gospel?
Gospel means good news. The good news simply put, is that relationship with God is possible. God made you, He loves you and wants you to know Him personally. However our knowledge of God has been clouded by sin, disobedience, rebellion and imperfection. We have been separated from God and though justice demands punishment and perfection cannot be tainted, God provided a perfect solution. Jesus paid the price for our sin by dying on the cross in our place, allowing God to fully punish every injustice, evil, and oppression. And while our sins were attributed to Jesus, His perfection is attributed to anyone who places their faith in Him. This means restored relationship with God is possible by accepting His gift, believing in and depending upon Him.  Eph. 1:4-5; Isaiah 53:6; 1 John 1:8; 1 Peter 2:24; John 14:6; John 1:12
